Samantha received a wonderful blanket. mocasins, and hat from Daddy's friend Dale and Dale's wife. They were all hand made and we love them! Sammy wears the hat whenever we leave the house and the blanket is used whens its below 30 degrees outside. Here is a picture of the hat! December 24, 2008 Christmas Eve

Well Samantha is spoiled already and is only 2 1/2 weeks old! We stopped bringing her bouncy seat with us because there is enough family fighting over to hold her that she is never put down :) I am sure that is a good thing but when at home she always wants to be held now. Above is a picture with her Uncle Terry and above that is Aunt Kimmie. Thanks Uncle Terry and Aunt Kimmie for all the clothes, toys, and swings/bouncers!

Samantha is home and doing good. She only lost 3 oz before we left the hospital and now she is starting to gain weight again. She started out sleeping only during the day but is starting to turn things around and sleep at night. We are hoping she starts to sleep all the night here in the next couple of weeks. My baby girl is here now!! She was born at 10:14pm today. Samantha Lea Reinders, 5 lbs 13 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She is the most beautiful little girl I have ever seen!! Feel free to email us with any questions.

Well we went to the doctor today for our weekly check up. According to our doctor Mandi has dilated more and the doctor said she could go as soon as this weekend. Dr. Evans said that if she doesn't go into labor by December 16, they will induce that morning. So at the very latest, Samantha will be here on December 16. I will keep everyone posted on her progress.

November 19, 2008

Well we went to our doctor appointment today. After some waiting, the doctor had to deliver someone else's baby first, we got to see her and ask some questions. Mandi is now dialated 2 cms and is measuring right on target. We are hoping that things move along kind of quickly now. Our appointments are every week and we are in the last 30 days of the pregnancy.

So after discussion with the doctor, I am trying to convince Mandi into being induced on 12/12. I would like her to go that early before Christmas so we have time to get things in order and she has time to heal before we attempt to go trotting around in the cold. More to come........

Baby Monitors

Well we went out and exchanged our baby monitors the other night. I was thinking with the posibilty of my back problems, or having my brother help with Samantha, it would be a good idea to get the video monitors. We received two good sets of monitors for our shower and decided we could exchange both of them for the video monitor and still have enough money for a mattress.

Well we were king of worried about the monitor not working too well in the house, but you konw what, it work wonderful! We hooked it up in Logan's room to test it out and left it on while he was trying to sleep. There was no light to bother him but we could see plain as day what he was doing. Pretty funny when I yelled up the stairs to stop moving around and lay still :) You could tell that really shocked him!

Moving Right Along

WOW only 39 more days until Samantha's Due date. I can't belive how fast time has flown! We have most of the baby items we need minus a few things like matress pad, diapers, and baby bath tub.

Also thank you to everyone who has given us gifts! They all mean alot and we greatly appreciate it!!!! For those of you who don't already know, her name is going to be Samantha Lea. Samantha was one of Mom's favorite names for a girl and Lea was Mom's middle name.

I wonder how much she will look like Mom or what character traits of hers she will have?
